Drudge: Boxer's New Fundraising Pitch

Now it's clear why US Senator Barbara Boxer (D-Marin County) has been especially extreme in the last couple of weeks: it's a fundraising ploy.

What's the risk for Boxer? She coasted to an easy November victory and has six full years of a new term ahead in the increasingly more liberal California.

By playing to the Michael Moore/Howard Dean/conspiracy wing of the party, Boxer will surely create a future warchest and additional power.
